I discovered my love for green hues last year and I added some nice pieces to my wardrobe. Unfortunately the malls didn't have many nice items in store in that beautiful rich colour. Since Pantone has announced Emerald as the colour of this year, I am more than thrilled to spot more and more jewel toned clothes in the stores. While I did some shopping in Sarasota, the malls were replete with beautiful spring collections in that colour and I flew high.
so that the top sticks out more I kept the rest of the look in black but mixed different textures in between so it gives the ensemble an interesting touch. Plus being not that tall, keeping the bottom black elongates my short legs *winner*
Eric took the pictures in Greenville, South Carolina while we strolled through the park and had lunch. Beautiful day and always love when he takes my blog pics.
PS: Any tips on how I can size my pics equally are highly appreciated :-)

Ani

I like your style and especially your blouse in combination with your blazer. Amazing hairstyle as well, looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhich graphic programme do you use? Even in "Paint" you can resize your photos. There is a resize button.
Select "pixels" (not "percentage") and try out various formats between 600 and 800px width. Paint automatically adjusts the hight related to the width. Save the photo (always save a copy, not the original photo).
I checked your photos which are between 1066 and 1600px in width which is really large. Also the data is between 350kb and 500kb per photo. Blogger offers limited space and you may want to downsize them (mine usually don't have more than 80-130kb)
Once you have inserted a photo into your post, select "original size" and you will see if it fits, otherwise adjust the width again.
I always use 600px width on my blog but maybe you want to use a bit more.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Ani, I love this look! The emerald looks great with your dark hair. I wish I had that belt, it is fab! I love how you played with textures in your look. It does give it different dimensions.
ReplyDeleteI use a free program Picasa to size my photos. It is easy to use and free! :) Also, it is a Google program, which so is Bloggers so they work well together.

I love this shade on you! I'd pair it with black as well- it's always my go-to color to match with. Loving your hair more and more with each post!
ReplyDeleteAni, you look gorgeous in Emerald! It looks fabulous with your dark hair, and it such a great pop of colour with the black! Love your booties too. . .we're bootie twins! :) As for resizing photos, I use photoshop and the cropping tool allows you to maintain the original ratio. Other than that, I'm not sure how. Also, I asked my Dad back in October what town my Grandpa was from but he couldn't remember. He was going to ask my Grandma but then she passed away in November so I don't think he got around to asking. I'll try to ask him again when the time is right. Unfortunately, no I don't speak Serbian, but I really wish I did!

Aww thank you so much Elena, I didnt do anything with it so I just let it be natural on this day. for some reason my hair was stubborn and I think it didnt like the american water, totally dried out. He liked it but he has no preferance, he likes blond as much as he likes me in brunette so thats good but I will def go back blonde in the spring :-) Thanks for stopping by dear :-)
DeleteSo chic. I love that top!
ReplyDeleteAs for the size of your photos, I always upload my photos to flickr.com and paste the html code into my post. You can change the width and the height yourself there :) xx
