Trendsetter link up on Midi skirts

Skirt: Asos; Jacket: Zara; Heels: Nine West, Belt: Asos, Sunnies: Espirt. Bag: Chanel

Midi skirts are such trendsetters for this season and I couldn't admire this elegant feminine style more. When I saw women wearing those midies in the late summer, I always thought they are not made for me and would cut off my legs as I am only 5.5 and only flatter on tall women. As with every Fashion trends the secrete really lies in finding the piece that fits your body best according to fabrics, cuts and Patterns. So don't be encouraged when you tried one on and it didn't work for you.
My black faux leather guipure lace jacket makes the perfect match to this neoprene cobalt skirt. The Leopard print in my belt and heels adds enough interest to this look. I did good, incorporating 3 of my favorite Trends in one look- midi skirt, faux leather and Leopard print.

Cropped shirt with leather skirt under 75$

Skirt: H&M similar here; Shirt: Zara similar here; Heels: Zara, Bag: Asos

I had no idea how versatile this pleated faux leather skirt was when I purchased it last year on sale for 10€. I already had multiple use out of it since then and styled it more girly here, gothic here, girly edgy here and elegant with another leather skirt here. Doesn't matter if I styled it up or down, I always feel modern and slightly edgy. This time I opted for a cropped shirt that I got on summer sale from Zara as well. As I am not in my early 20's anymore, I am glad it had a black tank top integrated with it, so you can't see my stomach sticking out it, hehe. I even took my piercing out years ago because of that reason.

I kept  the black and white color scheme to reach a sophisticated yet polished look. For a more vintage vibe, I added this laced collar that I found in my mom's closet. The gold accents on those plateau pumps totally emphasize that effect. I have no cropped Shirts in my closet, I was super pumped by the different shape of it, the kimono arms totally nail it!

NOTE: Our next monthly link up challenge is “Midiskirts”, so save the date – October 28th, style the look and join our Monday Bloom Challenge!!!

Grunge look + new hair cut

Skirt: H&M; Vest + Boots: Marshalls; checked Shirt: TK Maxx Bielefeld; Jacket: Orsay

Once in a while I need some changes. Last year I colored my hair Brown, see here, this time I went for a bob. I actually wanted to have a long sleek bob like Gwyneth Paltrow but my hair was so strongly layered in the front part, that it needs to grow into that length. Yeah it's different, I need to get used to it but what I am already loving is the quick hair wash and blow dry :-)

Another unexpected hing is this grungy look I am wearing today. Usually I tend to grab for more classic chic pieces just because of my professional background. Fashion is all about playing around with different styles and getting out of your comfort Zone, so I jumped on the plaid grungy wagon, a huge trend right now. I had all those pieces in my closet already.
A look wouldn't be pinkish without mesh tights and fishnet gloves/gauntlets. As I don't wear those gloves in my every day life, I did a spontaneous diy project by transforming my fishnet leggings into those gauntlets by just tearing a whole in the "between leg area". Et voila, a checked grunge look was born. My favourite Marshalls vest kept me warm and added preppiness to this street style look.

grid print midi skirt

Midi skirt: Asos: Sweater: H&M; Booties: Nine West, Hat: H&M, Necklace: F21, Bag: romwoman

One of my favorite trends right now is the grid print. Something seems so classic, clean and timeless about this simple yet bold graphic. So of course I had to get this midi skirt (another huge trend I embrace). Panels of contrast windowpane plaid add graphic interest to a Minimalist rich burgundy knit Sweater. It makes such a perfect fall look, that will def be on heavy rotation the next time.

I just got back from visiting my hometown Bielefeld. It was just a fabulous long 4 days weekend, seeing my family, my friends and my godson Erik who I am so in love with already. He totally made my heart melt when I hold him, he is such an angel and did not cry at all :-). Oh and I was so tired of my long hair, so I cut it to a short bob. Pictures will be postet soon :-) Have a great start in the week!

Monday Bloom link up on Macaroon Shades

Fall finally arrived in Germany, so I am ready to put all my neutrals out and playing with different textures to add interest.Pastely are making a surprising Statement for fall. I am balancing out the soft rose hue of my blazer and the sling pumps with the great autumnal cognac color leather pants. While my sweet Elena opted for a ladylike pastel Dress and Sofia for an Office chic Ensemble, I decided for a more casual chic Option. The Pants add just the right amount of edge to this classic blazer and instantly make the look cooler with a casual white tee.

Blazer & Tee: Zara, Pants: NewYork & Company loving those similar, Sling Pumps: Italian Designer, clutch: Asos, Necklace: See Jewelry

Cobalt against golden field

Sweater: Romwomen also available at Asos; Shorts: Asos; Heels: Zara; Bow Belt: Asos

Surrounded by golden fields  where I live, it was clear to take the chance- now that the farmer cut off the corn- to take some nice contrasting pictures of my red/blue look. Shorts in all their difference appearance when it comes to textures, pattern and color can be worn all season long- in my opinion anyways. However I love wearing them the best in the fall/winter time with tights and boots.

I caught the last warm sunny evening two weeks ago to wear my new ovoid textured shorts. The material is so thick and unique, perfect for the upcoming chilly days. It would have been too elegant when I would have paired it with a white silky blouse, so I wanted to give it a playful touch with this striped sweater and heart elbow patches. It's so super sweet that I got in navy blue as well :-)

PS: It was such a challenge to get up to those 2m  hay bailes, let me tell you. Being up there, it was such a shaky affair. The things I take on for my blog ;-)

Have a great start in the week!

PS: Don't Forget that the theme for our next Monday Bloom is "Delicate Pastels".
