grid print midi skirt
Midi skirt: Asos: Sweater: H&M; Booties: Nine West, Hat: H&M, Necklace: F21, Bag: romwoman
One of my favorite trends right now is the grid print. Something seems so classic, clean and timeless about this simple yet bold graphic. So of course I had to get this midi skirt (another huge trend I embrace). Panels of contrast windowpane plaid add graphic interest to a Minimalist rich burgundy knit Sweater. It makes such a perfect fall look, that will def be on heavy rotation the next time.
I just got back from visiting my hometown Bielefeld. It was just a fabulous long 4 days weekend, seeing my family, my friends and my godson Erik who I am so in love with already. He totally made my heart melt when I hold him, he is such an angel and did not cry at all :-). Oh and I was so tired of my long hair, so I cut it to a short bob. Pictures will be postet soon :-) Have a great start in the week!

Rainbow
Blazer & Necklace: F21; Skirt: H&M; Belt & Clutch: Asos; Heels: Zara; Top: mint&berry; Bracelet: Tasha; Sunnies: Esprit
Getting a multicoloured skirt has so many advantages! You can pair it with different tops and blazers, picking up the colours of the skirt and create versatile looks. Score for a skirt that only cost me10€ :-). Plus it contains my favourite colours - emerald green, magenta and mustard! I will come with different creations in the next weeks, so stay tune!
PS: I am so in love in bruno mars latest female version:
@Rita: It would sound so great if you would sing this song, you know how much I love your voice, especially when you sing ballads :-)
Hope you have a great start in the week girls and boys (Terry ;-)..)!

Neon Pink & Khaki
Fedora: H&M (recent); Shirt; H&M: Necklace : H&M; (recent); Vest: C&A (recent); Pants: New York & Company; Loafers: Deichmann (recent); Clutch: H&M;
I love neon for spring, but moderated and toned down with darker hues. Never thought that neon pink and khaki would make such a good combo, it just looks so refreshing. However, I must admit I didn't plan to mix them together. I purchased that super fun pink shirt and that vest on the same day and I don't know how you deal with new items, but I always want to wear them immediately. Those two pieces alone are more casual but paired with my leather pants and the fedora it takes the look to another level. In the spring time I usually love wearing flats like my new loafers, they are so comfy and look chic at the same time.
Linking up with Elena from dyinstyle today :-)

Nowadays most of us look at suspenders as antique objects but back in the 60's they made some interesting fashion statements. As a lover of old Hollywood movies I always adored men wearing suspenders, I think they symbolize classic menhood, well with one exception :-): -> Steve Urkel
When I went shopping with an old university friend in Constance I discovered those cute burgundy babies and onsidered to add a pair of suspender to my collection of accessoire. It's just a fun way to accessorize your clothing and immediately bring that chic twist and a unique vintage yet elegant touch to your look.
I have worn another look with suspenders here.
I think my whole outfit wouldn't be as audacious without suspenders. So little accents like these transform an outfit and can be the finishing touch to pull your color or outfits all together!

The view on the Alps, lake constance and the castle of my older apartment in Heiligenberg :-) |
Having an overfilled closet and some serious high payments that need to be done on my student loans plus my recent broken car for the next half year, I came up with the idea of starting a series "oldies but goodies". Remixing older clothes that has been in my wardrobe for several years and maybe decades that still can be trendy :-)
Sometimes I have the feeling that bloggers are fighting to be the very first one to show off the latest trends or newest articles that were brought out. That might be appealing to those one who have a pretty big budget and no financial duties but for somebody as me who has to pay off stuff it's not possible. I want to encourage my lovely readers to be creative and rethink styling possiblities with some oldies. That is not only a fun challenge but your bank account will highly appreciate it ;-)
What I love about fall is LAYERING and pulling off my looks with opaque tights, overknee socks and boots. Digging out my 3 year old plaid skirt is my loyal signifcant companion during the fall/winter season and that every year. Checked pattern are absolutely timeless and can be combined with a variety of different colours. I picked up the colour palette that is used in my skirt and build my look around these colours. The hat and the ruffles on my blouse give it a fun and playful and vintage touch...
How do you like to deal with older items? Do you consider them to rewear them over the years or clear your clothes out every season?
PS: In the next days I will ask some of my blogger friends to participate in that series, I will link them on my blog and that will be so much fun. So stay tune or let me know who wants to participate. I will contact you then :-)

Ok to my outfit: Haven't worn this flower embellished skirt for years so it was more than pleased to get some fresh air ;-) I kept the outfit in the natural colour family -a lilttle change to the colourful looks I wore recently.
As the weather gets hotter, I often wear my hair in a side bun. My thick hair being out of my face is a huge plus and it's so much easier to manage in the hot and humid temperatures.
On a side note, I will be flying to Serbia tomorrow for the next 2 weeks with my man seeing my family, really excited as I haven't seem my parents since Easter. Can't wait to have 3 weeks off to spent with my man and get some rest, pretty exhausted from working so much.
Hope you enjoy my outfit. Have a lovely weekend dears!
