fringe skirt + overknees

fringe skirt: H&M; Top; Asos;  Coat; Ann Taylor (old); Overknees: ASH Footwear via TkMaxx; Clutch: Hugo Boss

Happy New Year 2016 Y'all. Cheering this new years in with a new post on one of my favorite items- overknees and frings skirts.
Fringe is such a fashion forward trend this season, it can be seen on sleeves of leather jackets, bags or a total composition as in this flirty fun skirt. Paired with a simple black top the fringe detailing takes the ensemble to a sophisticated fun yet effortless chic level. I love how the strands dance with every gentle breeze around the body :-)
I had to wear it with my overknees that I got for Christmas from my parents and just love love the monochromatic look.
Do you love the fringe trend as much as I do?

New Year's Eve Look: Burgundy Leather Pencil Skirt

Leather Pencil Skirt: Asos; Top: Zara; Heels: Asos; Clutch: Hugo Boss; Lipstick: MAC

New Year's Eve is a night to be remembered, so you may as well choose something super chic and memorable to wear. This season leather pencil skirts are everywhere I mean literally everywhere, from the runways to street style blogs. Especially colored leatehr is huge this season. This deep burgundy color offers a welcome update to the standard black options out there.
With their versatility, they can be worn in the office to a first date or on festive occasions.  Doesn't the knee gazing length contributes to a sophisticated vibe especially with the caged heels?

I'm ringing in New Years Eve in style with this beautiful high waisted burgundy leather pencil skirt to reflect the magic of the event and the fresh new moments to come.
Cheers to a happy 2016- I know  a great year and wonderful moments ahead are waiting for me :-)

Love declaration: Cape

Cape: Zara: Hose: Zara; Top: H&M; Boots: Sam Edelmann; Bag: Asos old

My obsession with capes is a never ending story this season. The shopping options out there are endlessly right now - one beautiful after the other. Just love the simplicity of it. You just throw it over and your ensemble looks so complete and put together. The elbowroom and the comfyness is a huge winner in my books. Cheers to more beautiful capes that will be adopted  in my cape family hehe ;-)

Kensie Cape

Cape: Kensie;  Turtle Neck: H&M; Jeans: Rag & Bone; Heels: Nine West; Bag: Philip Lim

I love how a simple outfit, like a pair of jeans and heels, can be taken to the next level by a Cape. Simple, chic, classic- gives the whole outfit an effortless feel.

70's flair: Poncho + Flaired Jeans

Poncho: H&M; Flaired Jeans: H&M;  Top:  H&M; Boots: Görtz; Sunnies: Esprit

How fabulous is the fall weather right now? We had around 20 Celsius over the weekend, so I spent as much time outside digging the sun to have some energy reserves for the winter cold days :-)
Mild fall days like these are perfect to layer up with Ponchos. Not are they lifting up any look, they have such a playful yet elegant touch that I love so much. Ponchos have that power emphasizing a specific mood about an outfit. Paired with flaired jeans, the tangles and the orange color of that Poncho transforms this look into a 70's ensemble, doesn't it.
Have a great start in the new wee :-)
