Getting dotty

Dress: ZARA (old)
Heels: Asos
Clutch: H&M

As you know, I have been loving polka dots lately. Aside from florals, it was definitely one of my favorite prints this season. Not only is the polka dot a classic pattern that is easy to mix and match, it’s also a simple way to add a playful punch to your wardrobe. This time I kept it pretty simple and chic with that silky flowy polka dots dress. I have had it probably for 4 years now and always love to pull it out for special occasion with my man :-)
We had a great time in Serbia visiting my family. I really had a blast with that shooting first of all because my man took pictures for my blog for the first time :-) and because of that amazing setting and hometown of my mom. Gamzigrad is an  archaeological site, spa resort and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Serbia, located south of the Danube river, near the city of Zaječar. It is the location of the ancient Roman complex of palaces and temples Felix Romuliana, built by Emperor Galerius. If you have a chance, you should visit that place, it's breathtaking and the perfect setting for taking fashion blog pics hahaha ;-)
Also fashion should stand in focus, I  love it when there is a special setting/background, it gives your outfit that special kick. What about you, do you care about the setting while taking pics?

PS: How do you like my new darker hair?  Dejan from the hair salon Toto is the best hair stylist in the entire world, he has put some brown highlights in my hair to give it some more dimension. I trust in his work since over 8 years and visit him when I am in Serbia, you should check him out TOTO.

Stilt houlses Belong to the world cultural heritage.... The Lake Dwellings of the Stone and Bronze Age (4.000 to 850 BC) are reawakening at Lake Constance  in Unteruhldingen, Germany.

A few shots from our trip to Island Mainau, the Island of flowers in the lake constance area. I am truly blessed living in one of the nices area in Germany :-)

Ok to my outfit: Haven't worn this flower embellished skirt for years so it was more than pleased to get some fresh air ;-) I kept the outfit in the natural colour family -a lilttle change to the colourful looks I wore recently.
As the weather gets hotter, I often wear my hair in a side bun. My thick hair being out of my face is a huge plus and it's so much easier to manage in the hot and humid temperatures.
On a side note, I will be flying to Serbia tomorrow for the next 2 weeks with my man seeing my family, really excited as I haven't seem my parents since Easter. Can't wait to have 3 weeks off to spent with my man  and get some rest, pretty exhausted from working so much.
Hope you enjoy my outfit. Have a lovely weekend dears!

It's time for my lovely Sunflowers

Dress:  H&M
Blouse: Forever21
Necklace: Bijoux Brigitte
Belt: Asos
Shoes: JC Penny
Sunnies: H&M

Full of anticipation I was counting the days to take pictures in a sunflower field . I am such a flower girl (Peach Time; hippie-flower-power-girl), thats why it was an easy one to pick my blogname fleurani :-). Fleur for flowers in french and Ani as my nickname. Every morning when I drive to work I am passing a huuuuuuuuuuuuge sunflower field and it immediately lifts me in a super good mood. Sunflowers have the magic to put a smile on my face and can be so inspirational :-). It was a quick peek in the wardrobe to pull off this outfit. Yellow and blue are so cheerful complementary summer colours. When I first put this blue dress on, it felt so boring just by itself. The mustard ruffle blouse which my baby gave me for christmas pulled it off nicely. Love the outcome so much :-) Do you have special items that put a smile on your face?

Peplum a la Chic

Peplum can be worn in so many ways and always adds thats feminine touch to every outfit. This time I have worn it with a peplum pencil skirt. Colourwise I kept it classic with black and white and accessoirized with my black pearl necklace that I rediscovered in my collection which is probably over 6 years old :-). I figured that peplum looks kinda incomplete without any necklaces, don't you think?
Which of the Peplum looks do you like best so far (Peplum in the mixPeplum ). Let me know!

Peplum and Aztec in the mix

Peplum: H&M
Aztec skirt: Bershka
Cap toe Pumps: Asos
Satchel: Boutique
Sunnies: H&M
Bracelet: H&M

Usually Peplum works wonders on so many body shapes but when an acquaintance told me I look as I have a bun in the oven I was like "yeah peplum even works for preggo women" hehe ;-) No, seriously,  I think it works perfectly with curves and underlines your female silhouette and makes your waist appear slim.In a previous post (here) I paired it with a tulip peplum skirt. This time I wanted to go  for a more modern and fun way and just to kill  two birds with one stone- pairing two of my favourite trends this summer- my aztec skirt and a basic peplum top. I have already taken pics for my next blogpost, where I will combine my peplum shirt with a pencil skirt. I haven't tried it with jeans or pants yet, have to try it out some time soon though and will let you know. This time I kept it pretty simple with the accessoires, my man got tired of my gold chain necklaces from HRH collection hahaha, also I think they always give an outfit that effortless finish touch ;-).
How do you style your peplum pieces?

PS: I first spotted this Peplum shirt on  my favourite bloger friend Jenny from Crazy Style Love (www.crazystylelove.com) and needed to get my hands on it. She has an amazing femine style and is such a sweet person, you have to check out her blog as well if you don't do it anyways hehe because she is AMAZING (invert high opera voice) :-)
OH and another super sweet Peplum queen is Bonnie from  Mini Me Style (www.minimestyle.com) one of my favourite daily blog reads as well :-). They both have one in common, where I can shout out my german phrase "Klein aber fein" which  means small but fine :-)

Have a great Thursday loves and thanks for stoping by, always puts a smile on my face :-)

Magenta

Dress: Asos
Clutch: Mango
Heels: ZARA
Sheba & Sheik Necklace: HRH Collection

I purchased this dress to spent last christmas with my boyfriend and his family in Florida. Not only do I love this bright cheerful magenta colour which adds a vibrant summery vibe but also  its cut and flowing material. So flattering when you are curvy and have wide hips :-).  It's so versatile that it can be worn all year around- in the winter with tights, cardigan and boots. Wearing a bright dress liked this, it's essential to wear natural/basic colour shoes. I picked my favourite black snake heels to avoid looking overdone.  Styled with my favourite Sheba and Sheik necklace from HRH Collection, the necklaces totally sticksout and gives that look a polished touch. I think this kind of dress and colour looks flattering on every woman, don't you think?

My man is the more casual type prefering comfy footwear ;-)
ONLY 2 weeks and 4 days till I get to see him after 8 months of seperation, can't wait to hold my lovely doctor in my arms <3
Hope Y'all have a great start in the week!
