Strots- A Mixture of stripes and dots

Dress: Promode
Cardigan: Mango
Bag: Friis & Company
Wedges: Deichmann
Sheba Necklace: HRH Collection

Experimenting with contrasting prints is something I've always been attracted to but it's quite a challenge to find prints that can complement each other well.
Usually I don't mix a lot of prints together because it can look kinda twitchy . However, when I paired these two classic pieces together it showed me how fun it can be. I think the secret in achieving a successful pairing of prints is to have one print smaller in scale than the other. So I decided to use thick stripes with smaller polka dots in  my outfit.
I love that it gives my ensemble a unconventional yet chic look.
Not only will I love dots forever but stripes as well. What do you think of this mixture?

Pastels flower print

Blouse: Romwe
Jeans: H&M
Blazer: ZARA
Pumps: Escada
Purse: Channel
Necklace: HRH Collection

Puh, I really had a stressful business week and was travelling alot so I let my blog slide and couldn't read other blogs *Duh*.
I wore this outfit a month ago and didn't upload those pics yet. Pastel colours and flower prints are my favourite for the spring/summer as they totally lift up your mood. Do you have special colours or patterns that do the same with you?

Aztec Modern Interpretation
I decided to add a contemporary Aztec-inspired piece to my wardrobe, a fashion trend that is all about ethnic and tribal elements and not about whole looks where the origins of the look are downplayed! I have always been interested in travelling and diving into different cultures and drawing inspiration from them.
The Aztec look is the perfect Spring style, wearing a piece instantly gives you an uber-cool, street savvy, exotic style without making it look like you’ve tried too hard and instantly evokes dreams of far off vacation destinations.
Contemporary Aztec-inspired pieces use the elements while adding a new twist to keep things modern. I have seen diverse colour plattes that straggle from traditional Aztec shades, as well as an emphasis on geometry or embellishments within the fabric chosen.
If you are looking to make a statement, look for patterned skirts like I did and pair it with a casual white Tee and some nice pumps. I decided to leave my hair natural wavy to emphasize the exotic look

What are your thoughts on the Aztec-inspired trend?

PS: Anna-Lena and I stumbled over the antice flea market which is once a year along the promenade in Überlinge (lake constance) where I found this amazing mauve sequined clutch, so I incoperated it in my pics. Hope you enjoy!

Time journey into the 50's

I went to the most amazing and entertaining "Rock' n' Roll Therapy" concert of Dick Brave & The Backbeats couple days ago with one of my lovely friends Christiane. It's Rock'n'Roll music and contemporary pop music with that 50's Rock N Roll flair. Pretty good stuff especially when you like that kind of music.
So that awesome concert inspired me to do a 50's shoot, not only do I like the music but always adored the look of the fifties style divas Doris Day, Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn. I watched some hair tutorials to get that hair styles. Man I am telling ya, getting this hair flip was such a challenge, my finger got sticked all the time I rolled them up hahaha ;-)
I really welcome the comeback of that fashion style this year and so excited to do more looks if you are interested in. Let me know!

Do you like that kind of music and fashion as much as I do?
In case you don't know the band, I included a music video in this blog, you just need to scroll down and turn up the volume ;-)

Lost in the wind......

I’ve been soo looking forward to showing you this amazing cream dress from H&M– and here it is! I just adore how it looks with the earthy tones accessoires. Love the butterfly arms which gives the dress that flowy touch. Perfect to wear it to the beach or doing a picnic in the lovely nature.
I have a feeling that mixing ‘girly’ with ‘edgy’ is going to be a new fave look of mine this Spring/Summer.
I was experimenting with some different hairstyles, so some nice hippie looks turned out again. Shooting in the nature is so much fun and probably my favourite setting anyways. While Anna-Lena, who takes the most awesome pics ( thank you so much for your support, its' always a blast) and I were walking around in the countryside, we discovered those cute baby calfs, I lost my heart for the grey one, isn't is sooooooo gorgeous? :-)
What about you, where do you feel more comfortable taking your pics?
Hope you enjoy those looks!
